Switchboard for merchants

The checkout rules Shopify makes you hire a developer for.Now a form in your admin.

Block the orders that cost you money, protect your margin, and control how your checkout behaves. Pick a rule, fill in a form, and it's live before lunch.

The money leak

Your store knows things your checkout ignores.

It knows your carrier rejects PO boxes. It knows a split shipment doubles your outbound cost. It knows an $800 cash-on-delivery order gets refused at the door. And checkout waves all of it through, because Shopify's checkout runs one generic script.

Every gap between what your store knows and what checkout does is money leaking: the refund, the second shipping leg, the support thread, the broken dealer agreement.

Why it's still broken

It's not that you didn't try to fix it. It's that every time you asked, the answer was "you'd need a developer for that," and the quote came back in four figures with a three-week timeline. So you ate the cost, because the fix cost more than the problem. That math just changed.

The fix

Every kind of checkout rule, in your Shopify admin.

Pick the rule, set your conditions, and checkout enforces it automatically:

28 ready-made use cases across seven groups: guard checkout (block countries, PO boxes, set order limits), pricing and promotions (quantity breaks, MAP pricing), fulfillment control (never split a shipment, route by country), bundles, payments (hide COD over a threshold, invoice-first for B2B), pickup and shipping (pin locations, rename rates), and checkout trust badges.

Most need no code at all. The few that talk to your theme ship with the exact line to paste.

  • Guard your checkout
  • Control your pricing
  • Control your payments
  • Control your fulfillment
  • Bundles
  • Pickup and shipping
  • Checkout trust

Proof (the demo store)

Don't take the claim. Watch it work. The demo store runs Switchboard against a real Shopify checkout: load a blocked address, watch a price drop to a dealer price, hit a quantity break, reorder a pickup list. Break something; that's what it's for.

What it can and can't do

Every rule tells you exactly what it does and where its limits are, right where you configure it. A few capabilities (hiding credit cards in the US and Canada, checkout trust badges, signed-price rules) require Shopify Plus, because Shopify gates them, and we say so instead of letting you find out at checkout.

Pricing

Start free with one active rule, forever. Paid plans from $10/mo raise how many rules run at once. No plan ever locks a capability: a plan sets how many rules run, never which ones you can use. 14-day trial on every paid plan.

FAQ

Merchant objections.

Is this just another checkout app?

Most checkout apps do one thing and gate the rest. Switchboard does every kind of checkout rule from one admin, and every plan can use every capability.

Will it slow down or break my checkout?

Rules run as native Shopify Functions inside checkout itself, the same mechanism Shopify built for this.

Do my customers see anything change?

Only if you want them to. Most rules are invisible behavior. Trust badges are the one customer-facing add.

Can customers game it?

Prices and configs live in tamper-safe storage with caps you set. Where a rule relies on storefront signals, we say so and show you how to pair it with a hard stop.

What if I outgrow the free plan?

Upgrade in two clicks; your rules carry over. The next bad order costs more than the app does.
