Shopify doesn't reserve stock until checkout completes. During a drop, that means your last units can sell twice. We're building the app that fixes it.

The problem
Drop day. Two customers add your last unit at the same moment. Both head to checkout. Both pay. One of them gets the product, and the other gets a refund, an apology email, and a reason to never trust your launches again.
It happens because Shopify's inventory only decrements when an order completes. The whole time a customer is checking out, the stock they're buying is still up for grabs.
The promise
Inventory Holdout puts a hold on the item the moment it's added to the cart, with a visible checkout countdown. Finish in time and the item was yours all along. Walk away and it goes straight back on the shelf for the next customer. No overselling, no refund queue, and real urgency that's actually true.
We're building and validating it now, and we don't ship promises. When it's live, the mechanics on this page will be the tested ones.
Waitlist
Email us and we'll add you to the list. One email when it launches. Nothing else.
Meanwhile
While you wait, two of our apps are live today: Switchboard (checkout rules without a developer) and Save That Cart (win the first purchase, in the cart).
